"The Dead and the Deader"

Films: The Frighteners (1996)

Alias: Cyrus, Stuart, the Judge, Ray Lynskey, Sargent Hiles, the Soul Collectors (John Charles "Johnny" Bartlett and Patricia Ann Bradley)

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted home/Civilized Area/Eldritch location

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Good (Cyrus, Stuart, the Judge, Ray Hiles), Evil (the Soul Collectors)

Summary: Those who can commune with the dead often have a great respect for the dearly departed. Not so much in this case. But even then, it's a different kind of respect. Let's just hope it can save both the living and the dead from a remarkable menace.

History: Frank Bannister is a con artist who can communicate with the dead so that he may have his ghostly friends haunt wealthy clients into paying him to kick them out. It's a lucrative business...but now he's needed. Many people are dying, and many spirits are being cut down and forced into the next life. The Soul Collectors have arrived. They are Johnny and Patricia, the latter of which leaded a horrible massacre at the mental ward he was confined to. He's hoping to lead the world's biggest serial killer body count so that the record is no longer held by a Russian. Now, only Frank can stop them.

Notable Kills: Almost every human death is done via the Soul Collector grasping someone's heart and stopping it without having to penetrate the body.

Final Fate: After Frank becomes a spirit, he forces Johnny and Patricia to become ones as well so that they stop interfering with the real world. As they are caught between the boundary between Heaven and Hell, the evil duo is sent violently towards the later while Frank is sent back to his body, as it is not yet his time.

Powers/Abilities: Manipulation of reality, while the Soul Collectors can kill spirits.

Weakness: Only spirits can harm spirits truly.

Scariness Factor: 4-While the majority of the ghosts are rather alright at worst and quirky at best, the Soul Collectors are downright horrific. From their uncanny appearances heightened by the somewhat sub-par CGI to their psychopathic true identities, there is a good reason that even the dead fear them.

Trivia: -Originally, this film was going to be a film from the "Tales From the Crypt" series.

-The Soul Collectors were originally going to be portrayed with either puppets or people in cloaks, but they eventually decided on creepily cheap CGI.

Don't worry. YOU WILL BE.

You might want to get your everything checked.

Remember, assholes of the world! This is how you go to Hell, apparently!
Don't worry about them. Worry about the actual lunatic in a cloak.

Forget the reaper! Now, aliens!

Imagine if they met Foster Kane. Their comedic streak would come to a sudden halt.
Death and drugs are no ways to make a living.

"For the last time, stop vandalizing the bathroom stalls!"

Not in this site. There can be no rest at all.

Insert Full Metal Jacket joke here.
